The Hong Kong Association of the Heads of Secondary Schools takes great pleasure to invite you to ‘Education Colloquium: Vision 2047’ – A distinguished gathering for Educators between 26th and 27th January 2018 (Friday to Saturday).
The aim of the Colloquium is to provide a platform for local and international experts to discuss the most pressing debates in education today, to gain insights for our education community and illuminate our way for future secondary education in Hong Kong.
Why attend the Education Colloquium? We hope that the professional dialogues developed in the Colloquium can lead us to look for way forward for Hong Kong’s Education; to meet new makers and to experience new ideas; to share ideas, experiences and best practices for education; to explore new trends and discover innovative solutions.
Whom is this for? The Colloquium brings together all stakeholders including principals, vice-principals, teachers, school-sponsoring bodies, government officials, university scholars, parents, students and NGOs. It will provide opportunities for the sharing of perspectives, discussion and debate on new horizons for diversity and inclusion within schools, we therefore hope to create an interactive setting for dialogues throughout the sessions.
What are the highlights? It is our honour and privilege to have Mr. Matthew Cheung, the Acting Chief Executive of HKSAR as the Guest-of-Honour to officiate at the Education Colloquium. We are also very delighted to have three distinguished keynote speakers from overseas: Mr. Anthony Mackay to speak on ‘Education for Future: Learning a Living’; Ms. Purvee Chauhan on ‘Education Reform and Equity’ and Mr. Stephen Harris on ‘Unleashing Youth Potentials’. We are grateful to have many renowned local speakers to join us in the various sharing sessions after the keynote speeches. The panel includes Professor Edward Chen Kwan-yiu, Ms. Anna Wu Hung-yuk, Professor Raees Begum Baig, Hon. Michael Tien Puk-sun, Mr. Jasper Tsang Yok-sing and Mr. Kevin Yeung Yun-hung.
